As it turns out, this week offers not one but two Vanessa Hudgens movies. Is that a good thing? Not when the second is “Damages Seasons 1-3 DVD Boxset” (Sony), according to MSN film critic James Rocchi. Sleeper release this week is “Barney’s Version” (Sony), a Canadian production carried by a deft performance from Paul Giamatti. (Videodrone review here.) Also new is the martial arts western “The Warrior’s Way” (Fox) and the medieval supernatural adventure “Season of the Witch” (Fox) with Nicolas Cage, plus the foreign films “Max Manus: Man of War” (Music Box) from Germany and “Deliver Us From Evil” (eOne) from Denmark.

Shameless Season 1 DVD Box set are cops, colleagues and best friends in “Rizzoli & Isles: The Complete First Season,” Harmon the tough homicide detective and Alexander the brainy, stylish and socially maladroit medical examiner.
